Maybe someone could help me please. I have a 14 week old yellow lab. He has no problem holding himself in the crate and most of the time when loose in the house. However, when he does have a urination mistake when loose in the house it’s always on his own bed. No other place. It has only been 3 times since we got him a month ago. But it’s 3 times too many. We have now taken his bed away but I feel bad that he doesn’t have a comfortable place to lay. Has anyone had this problem or if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to help. Thank you so much!

Each dog is started immediately on the Training System plan, training records are kept, and students instructed in both the theory and application of the Tarheel Canine Training System.

Mike took the time with each member of our family to help us clearly understand. We all learned so much. They were spectacular. My wife and I moved to Philly for the summer and needed daily walks for our dog. We were able to set up with Philly Dog School with only one day’s notice, one of the easiest and most convenient processes I’ve ever had with a dog walker. All summer they were incredibly responsive and helpful as our dog adjusted to the new setting. They sent me a text after every walk to let me know how our dog did and if there were any issues. And when we wanted weekend walks on short notice they were flexible and helpful. Overall the best dog walkers I’ve ever worked with BY FAR. You cannot do better.

Ian discusses how we should learn to see the world from our dogs perspective and in doing so, how we can better earn their love and trust. 2.  They do take the dogs on walks for potty breaks but the dogs also can go on the floor at daycare.  I was also concerned about my pooch peeing on the floor and thinking he can do that when he comes home.  Definitely not the case.  No issues whatsoever.

Y’all Jimmy is amazing!! We have a 9 month old golden doodle and we choose to do the 10 day board and stay….”Emmet got to live with Jimmy” program. We were obviously nervous at first to let him leave the house for 10 days, but after seeing the results it was well worth it. Our…

I met RD after adopting my 11 month old pitty from the shelter. He didn’t have any manners to speak of yet. Within the first few nights of having him home, I realized I didn’t know much about being a dog mom and needed help. My dog couldn’t walk on a leash, lunged and barked at dogs, wasn’t potty trained…it was exhausting. We began working together every week and within the first few minutes of our first meeting I had several new skills I was able to use to help my dog learn.  After the first meeting, I walked with him and he was responsive to my commands. She answered all of my desperate texts about anything that came up. Her energy is incredible. Her confidence is mesmerizing. Watching her hold a conversation while simultaneously and without effort correcting multiple dogs is inspiring. I continue to work with her after 4 months because it gives me confidence to continue training my dog. He is becoming a sweet, well behaved, wonderful boy. I board him with her, he goes to daycare with her and we join her monthly pack walks, all of which reinforce his good behavior.

Obedience training should always be fun both for you and the dog. The ideal method is to use rewards in order to motivate the dog to behave. This also teaches him to think through problems to come up the appropriate behavior, rather than reacting out of fear of punishment.
