Practice everywhere, with everyone If you learn that two plus two equals four in a classroom, you’ll take that information with you wherever you go. Dogs, however, learn very specifically and don’t automatically apply their knowledge in different situations and places as well as people do. If you teach your dog to sit on cue in your kitchen, you’ll have a beautifully kitchen-trained dog. But she might not understand what you mean when you ask her to sit in other locations. If you want your dog to perform new skills everywhere, you’ll need to practice them in multiple places-your home, your yard, out on walks, at friends’ houses, at the park and anywhere else you take your dog.

ABC also offers a number of short term programs. These include; Training Shelter Dogs, The Art of Selling and Teaching Private Lessons, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, Pet Nutrition and Diet and more. For information about these and other short term programs, please go to;

All the basic dog obedience training commands such as sit, down, stay and heel will be enthusiastically and easily learned by your Lab puppy. Anybody who has had the pleasure of living with a Labrador puppy will acknowledge the importance of these two puppy training commands – Training your Labrador to walk nicely on a loose leash and also to stop jumping up on people. Hold a treat in front of pup’s nose. Slowly raise the treat over and behind his head so that when he follows it, his bottom drops to the ground. Say “Sit” immediately as this happens, and give the reward.

He is 2 years old and white in colour. How do I train him, what type of food do I feed him, is he an outside dog, can he be a guard dog? and will he be able to get on with my cats? I had a chow chow he was an amazing dog with the most beautiful nature, loving and adorable. I had to put him to sleep because he had very bad arthritis in the spine and he was 14 year old. I still pine for him as I loved http://rentabilisermapassion.org/developpent-des-images-daffaires-des-affaires-rentables-en-inde-2015/ very much. Many Thanks

I have had Max since he was a puppy and he is now 6. He has snapped at my 1 year old son a couple times. I think I should get rid of him. The last thing I want is for my son to be scarred emotionally or physically..Max actually does not snap at him when he is eating or anything. It is when he is around his back side. Alex pulled out an entire hand full of Max’s hair. Max cried and ran off. Alex feeds Max from his hand and Max takes it nicely. I do not want to get rid of my dog and do not think he would bite him, I just think he is trying to scare him. But am I willing to risk it? Nope. Would love to find some dog whispering trainer to fix it but I dont think that exists. Is this trainable behavior?

    We immediately have noticed a difference in our dog after one session. She was so responsive during the session it was like night and day. I am actually disappointed we didn’t find this service sooner…. RD genuinely takes time to work with you and your dog and gives you tools to set you up for long term success. The sessions aren’t based on a specific time limit, which is amazing because our little dog needs some specialized attention. We are so thankful for our new trainer and how our pup’s behavior is changing! See More
    For nearly four years, I learned not only how to handle dogs, but also a good deal of information about how to care for a dog throughout their entire life. I then took that knowledge and expanded it after being hired as a full time employee at Village Veterinary Medical Center in Farragut. I also expanded my furry family by adopting an owner surrendered, mostly blind Cornish Rex cat that I named Wisp. I sometimes think she’s a dog in a cat body because she fetches and definetly understands what it means when I change my tone of voice or use body language with her.
    You can make a start with potty training right from the very first day you bring your puppy home. In fact, it is important that you do this and that you make an effort to avoid ‘accidents’ even in those very early day.
