Labs will eat EVERYTHING. Shoes, paper, couches, including their own poop. In fact, most dog breeds eat their own poop. If you don’t want this happening, I reccomend picking his poop up everytime he goes outside and throwing it out. These dogs are bred to put things in their mouths, and they most certainly will put poop in there too.

She was professional, affordable and generous of her time and wisdom. Dita is a better dog, and we are better parents because of RD’s guidance. I would recommend her to anyone! She is incredibly  easy to work with and great at what she does.

This can help keep your dog safe when his curiosity gets the better of him, like if he smells something intriguing but possibly dangerous on the ground! The goal is to teach your pup that he gets something even better for ignoring the other item.

Jimmy did soo great with Koda, my 10 month old pitmix. After the first day stay with him Koda was walking around with no leash. On the 3rd week of the day stay and train program we went for a 2 mile walk with no leash around a park full of kids, dogs and lots…

Towards the end of the series, there was to be a ‘Grand Final Best in Show Spectacular’ where they were to perform in front of a live audience. All dogs are not the same, so we vary our approach based on each dog’s personality and temperament and what will work for that dog. We also vary the dog behavior training to suit the family’s specific needs and lifestyle, the dog’s environment and what YOU do or don’t want from your dog.

“In mid-Aug this year, I got a 44 days old male fawn lab pup (in India I have checked many pet shops are providing these pups in between the age range of 36-48 days), he was weighing 2.5 Kg at that time. From day one my pup is active and having his food 3 times a day. He is very active, bites, eats and licks everything which reaches his mouth. Probably because of this in 2nd week of bringing him home he had diarrhea and it was a nightmare for me for a week. We immediately took him to vet and he was completely fine in a week.

Dogs learn by association, so if your puppy does something good, reward him. Then the action is much more likely to be repeated. But the reward must be linked to the action, so he must be rewarded quickly, within a second or two. The reward itself can be a few kibbles of puppy food or praise, or both.

The staff was always wonderful.  Our little pup came home exhausted and slept for the next two days (something worth it’s weight in gold when you have a puppy).  Now we have a wonderfully socialized pet who gets along swimmingly with any dogs she meets (and I give dog school most of the credit for that).

June and Colin were fabulous! Loads of information to absorb and utilize. I need to get busy! The initial presentation was easy to follow and well explained to me. I scheduled 4 additional meetings during my Naples stay. So thankful I called them!!

When you arrive to class we ask that you keep your distance from other owners and dogs, we will guide you over to your personal ‘pod’ which will be a small area reserved for you and your dog. This will give your dogs the best chance to feel comfortable and calm at the start of class. Once everyone has settled in their own areas your coach will start the class, there will be some time set aside for practical training and discussing key messages. In puppy classes there will also be some time scheduled for socialising with other class members.

Our enrollment is a rolling enrollment, meaning you can start on the first Monday of any month. December is the only month where we do not start new students. You can arrive the weekend prior to the class start date to settle in. If you come by plane we will pick you up, and take you back to the airport. If you go out of town for the weekend you can board your personal dog at our facility at a discounted rate.  We are all about personalized service. After graduation you can come back for training for up to 2 weeks per year at no tuition charge, you are responsible for your housing costs only. We want to see you come back, and assist with your development. You can come to our K9 seminars around the country, and most certainly call back and ask questions about training situations you need some assistance with.  While here you will have invaluable networking opportunities with trainers and handlers from around the country and in many cases around the world. Free internet access is provided for students as well.

If you can afford it, Applebaum suggests hiring a dog trainer and taking your dog to obedience classes, where your pup will get to socialize with other dogs and people and learn how to deal with distractions, which are common in life outside the classroom.
