We have had two in home sessions with RD now, working on basic puppy training for our 3 month old, as well as some issues without 12 y/o. She is awesome! The dogs love her and she gets results. She re…ally understands how the dog thinks, and uses that to her advantage. Also, a big part of dog training is owner training, and she’s done a great job of training me and my husband. Thanks RD! As the franchise owner and head trainer of Sit Means Sit Knoxville I have owned and loved dogs my entire life. In 2004 I started training them in the Sit Means Sit system. When I first started as a client of Sit Means Sit Denver CO I had an aggressive Chocolate Labrador who had been through two other “professional” trainers. Other trainers couldn’t help us, which fortunately then led us to Dave Skoletsky and Sit Means Sit.
My dog LOVES dog school! It is easy to get her there and pick her up at any time, the people are so friendly, they pay attention to her and have noticed things I missed, the price is great, my dog loves the socialization and she is happily exhausted when I pick her up. I think it has taken my sweet, happy dog and made her sweeter and happier!

It’s very important to keep training tasks simple, setting your puppy up to succeed while avoiding failure. This means going very slowly and not expecting too much. Having many small wins is very encouraging. Many failures are frustrating and stressful and can kill a puppy’s enthusiasm for training and learning.

I work with RD in an animal rescue group, One Tail At A Time PDX. She took in my foster pup who was having some issues, just out of a hoarding situation. She was suppose to meet a potential adopter in a couple days and was have a hard time with initial dog meetings and being in her crate. After RD had her for only 2 DAYS, she was like a different dog. The change was incredible. Her stress in those situations was gone. She interacted with her potential dog sibling perfectly. I believe that those days with RD set her up for a huge success. That family took her in on the spot and have since finalized her adoption. RD gave such great little tips that you don’t even realize could be affecting the pup in such a dramatic way. I was so impressed and am so grateful she is involved in the same organization as me. Rescue dogs AND more importantly rescue adopters will absolutely benefit from her assistance! She sets everyone up for success.
